How to Wear a Tulip Bubble Skirt – 5 Important Rules

I found these pictures of Rosario Dawson while browsing through a celebrity site last night:

Looking at Rosario and her tulip bubble skirt got me inspired to write about bubble skirts today. If you’re not a celebrity, not a style connoisseur, and you don’t have a stylist, how do you wear the tulip bubble skirt without looking funny or frumpy?

Well, here are 5 very, very, very, simple rules to follow.  As long as you follow them to a T, you can actually wear the tulip bubble skirt in style.

Rule # 1 – Know Your Body Type and Understand That Tulip Bubble Skirts are not for Everyone.

If you are a pear, round, or a round hourglass (curvy), it is best to AVOID the bubble skirt.

Rule # 2 – Always Keep the Bubble Skirt’s Hemline a Few Inches Above the Knees.

This will keep you from looking frumpy.

Rule # 3 – Cinch the Waist or Get a Bubble Skirt That is Waisted.

Again, this will keep you from looking frumpy and shapeless.

(Right); MICHAEL Michael Kors Wide Zippered Belt, $58; MICHAEL Michael Kors Quilted Stretch Belt, $48

Rule # 4 – Wear the Bubble Skirt with a Top That is Cut Close to the Body.

Avoid tops that are voluminous. I think I need not explain why..

Rule # 5 – Make Sure You Wear the Bubble Skirt With High Heels.

To counteract the volume, you simply need to lengthen your body, and the simplest way to do that is by wearing high heeled shoes.

Once you’ve mastered these 5 simple rules, wearing the tulip bubble skirt will be as easy as putting on your lipstick.
