Trend Report: What to Expect from Alice + Olivia Fall RTW 2013

It’s the time of year again, and no we’re not talking about Valentine’s Day or some other holiday, instead we’re talking about one of the most awaited events in the world of fashion—the New York Fashion Week for Fall 2013.

One of our favorite go-to brands, Alice + Olivia, is among the brands that showcased their gorgeous collection as to what to expect for the fall season fashion this year. And in true Alice + Olivia fashion, the collection was nothing short of mesmerizing and beautiful. It really speaks to the modern feminine-chic woman.

As opposed to their bright and blooming Spring/Summer 2013 collection, the Fall ready-to-wear pieces take on a darker aesthetic with a hint of romantic gothic charm that’s very understandable for a fall season collection. Stacy Bendet’s concept of “Fantasy Street Style” truly shone through in every single piece that was showcased.

Every piece is undeniably luxurious-looking and stylish yet very wearable as well. It’s feminine but with a darker and edgier twist that’s still very classy and sophisticated. What more could you want, right?

Check out some of these pieces from the collection and let us know what you think!

You have to admit that full, dramatic, printed maxi skirts are not the easiest of skirts to wear. They can make or break your look. They can make an unsuspecting victim look garish and overdone. But here’s the deal, done right and you can pull off a look everyone will remember for a long time. […]

How are trends made? Sometimes, the staunchest authorities in fashion recommend what to buy and the public blindly follow, even if the recommendation is occasionally on the dubious side.
