The former supermodel-turned-judge of America’s Got Talent emerged from her hotel in Manhattan looking quite electric in an all-blue ensemble.

This outfit is nothing to be blue about, however. The towering beauty did us proud by tastefully pairing a Thomas Wylde double-zip leather skirt with a slinky top and pointed-toe pumps, banking on the play of textures to pull off a not-quite-a-Smurf look.

However, this is not Heidi Klum’s first love affair with Thomas Wylde’s creations, as she is the designer’s current face and muse.

She has been spotted in numerous Thomas Wylde pieces, ranging from leopard print dresses to skeleton graphic tees; she even recently donned (and made fashion headlines, at that) another blue leather dress number from the Fall/Winter 2013 collection, where this striking double-zip leather skirt was also born.

Recent appearances by Sandra Bullock and Kate Hudson in leather pencil skirts indicate that this trend, popular since Fall/Winter 2012, continues to thrive into 2013 with no signs of diminishing.

For a cobalt blue beauty like this Thomas Wylde piece, we’re glad it isn’t (relieved, too, if we may add).

The coveted collection isn’t out for the general public yet.
