Olivia Wilde Inserts Rock and Roll to Her Red Carpet Look

Red carpet premieres usually call for fancy designer dresses but we assure you this: Olivia Wilde was not drunk when she picked out her outfit for the Los Angeles premiere of her latest film Drinking Buddies. The 29-year-old picked out a vintage Bruce Springsteen tee, which she got from his latest The River tour, and paired it with a black Robert Rodriguez asymmetrical skirt. She turned up the chic on her rather rock and roll look by putting on a pair of black Jimmy Choos and holding on to a Smythson clutch.

The actress seemed quite thrilled for her latest project, tweeting, “Heading to Drinking Buddies premiere and so f***ing excited. Can’t stop smiling.” Upon learning that the film did not adhere to a script for character dialogue, we couldn’t blame her. “This is the first time in film that I’ve had an entirely improvised film,” the actress shared. “In films, often we try to improvise, we do alternate takes – but this was the first time where I’ve never had a script.”

We love how designer Robert Rodriguez took the pencil skirt silhouette and updated it with an asymmetrical hem that seems to spiral around the legs. The silhouette is a fresh take to an office wear staple, paying homage to the popular origami skirts of today. Definitely a closet staple for the modern woman.
