Earlier this month, we heard rumors about Zac Posen designing a 24k golden dress.
The designer teamed up with the ice cream brand Magnum, who was adding a new flavor to their selection — Magnum GOLD. Yes, that’s a gold-like ice cream treat that must be ridiculously overpriced (we’re assuming).
The luxury snack was featured in a short film titled As Good As Gold, which debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday.
For the first time, we were able to see this much talked about gilded dress, which literally outshone all the other dresses of the night. Model Caroline Correa had the privilege of wearing the uber-luxurious gown.

The Zac Posen golden dress has over 10,000 gold sequins made from sheets of 24k gold, and all of them were so delicately and painstakingly made by hand. Reportedly, the 24k gold dress is valued at $1.5 million!

Now, this may not be the most expensive dress in the world, but it is definitely worthy of the spotlight, too. We totally love the mermaid-like effect of these golden scales!
