Leave it to top fashion designer Marc Jacobs to cross-dress without looking tacky and tasteless!

The 49-year-old fashion designer of his namesake fashion house was spotted earlier this year in a black and white ensemble, which he wore at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Show 2013 in Berlin.

His outfit consisted of a white button-down shirt, which he paired with a black A-line knee-length skirt. Note that this is not the first and only time that Marc Jacobs has been seen cross-dressing.

In fact, this ensemble is actually much more subdued and dressed down compared to his other cross-dressing looks.

Marc is certainly pushing the boundaries of high fashion, both in menswear and womenswear, and you can’t deny the fact that he manages to pull it off flawlessly.

What are your thoughts on Marc Jacobs’ daring level-up on menswear fashion?

Just the day before, Marc Jacobs wore another skirt to a cocktail reception. Which of the two looks do you prefer?

“It took 57 years to be able to say, ‘I’m not running away.’ I’m here. I’m going to wear this. And, if it’s life-threatening, that is a risk I am willing to take. It shouldn’t be life-threatening, nor should the color of my skin, nor should my sexual preference and nor should whether I wear heels or sneakers,” Marc Jacobs told The Fashionography in an interview.

“If I wore a pair of Nikes, whatever, I would “blend in” a bit more, but I would wear Rick Owens platform boots and Marc Jacobs high-heel shoes and whatever I want to wear,” the American fashion designer added.
