We’re not quite sure how we missed this glorious skirt moment by Olivia Palermo when she landed in Nice, France around a month ago for the 66th Cannes Festival. Regardless, we looked back and decided that yes, this skirt definitely still needs to have its rightful place in cyberspace, hence the birth of this rather delayed (but still very much welcomed) feature.
The former reality television star turned fashion-favorite arrived at the Nice Airport lugging two luxurious-looking hand-carried pieces of luggage. Olivia sported a feminine, geometric look that was almost aquatic in theme, with her top’s neckline, bag’s geometrical design, and pulled-back hair echoing the clean lines of her skirt. She muted the colors by donning a pair of beige ballet flats, finishing the look off with a gold, spiky necklace and sunnies.

The Zara color block combination skirt is absolute perfection and obsession-worthy. The black patterns are great for slimming down the hips, with the red providing an adequate pop of color and the neutral shade pulling both together to give the palette a fresh look. The controlled ruffles at the bottom give the skirt an interesting flare, injecting a little femininity into an otherwise structured look.
